Reading SeriesFor going on 40 years, the Writer's Workshop Reading Series at UNO has featured free public readings and discussions by nationally renowned authors. Authors offer fascinating information about their own books and expertise on the craft of writing itself. Afterward, they will be available to sign books, which may be purchased on site. Readings are scheduled on Wednesday evenings. During the writers’ time on campus, they often visit classrooms for informal sessions with our workshop students. The Writer's Workshop has hosted such artists as Tobias Wolff, Diane Ackerman, John Cheever, Charles Bukowski, Marvin Bell, Mark Strand, Debra Magpie Earling, Rick Bass, Matthew Zapruder, and Joanna Klink.
