Degree Conferral Ceremony
The University of Nebraska at Omaha Commencement degree conferral ceremony will be held on the UNO campus on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. in the Sapp Field House.

Commencement Ceremony
On Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., the College of Public Affairs and Community Service and College of Education will hold its commencement ceremony in the Sapp Field House.
Parking: Parking will be open and free on the both the UNO Dodge campus, including garages, and UNO Pacific campus. Shuttle service circling Dodge campus and a shuttle service between the Dodge campus and Pacific campus will be available. Students are encouraged to park in the garages on the Dodge campus.

ATTIRE
Academic Regalia are required for degree candidates to participate in the ceremony. Students not wearing Academic Regalia will not be permitted to participate in the ceremony. Rental arrangements should be made in the UNO Bookstore, Customer Service (402.554.2336), no later than Monday, April 1, 2013. Robe rental fees are as follows: Bachelor’s cap and gown ($39.99); Master’s and Specialist cap, gown and hood ($79.99); Doctoral cap, gown and hood ($85.99).
The last day to cancel your robe rental for a refund is Friday, April 5, 2013.
You must pick up your cap and gown in the Chancellor’s Room (2nd floor) in the Milo Bail Student Center, on Thursday, May 2, 2013, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. or Friday, May 3, 2013, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Additional instructions for the Ceremony will be given to you at that time.
Shoes: Please note that the ceremony will be held outdoors and we encourage you to consider the type of shoes you will wear and that you let your guests know. Spiked heels could be difficult to manage across the lawns in the morning and afternoon ceremonies.

DIPLOMAS
Commencement participants will be identified in the printed program as degree candidates whose graduation is contingent upon successful completion of academic requirements.
Upon receipt of final course grades and certification from the Dean’s office of your college program, your diploma will be mailed to you.
GRADUATION DEADLINE POLICY
All graduation requirements for May candidates must be completed and on file with the Records & Registration Office by: May 24, 2013 (fifteen working days after the last day of the term). This includes the satisfaction of all ‘Incomplete’ grades in courses required for the degree. Graduation requirements must be certified by the Dean’s office of your college program. Written notification of this policy is provided to every student who applies for a degree.
Students who fail to meet all requirements for graduation by the above date will be required to reapply for graduation in a subsequent semester. The names of such students will not be included in the list of graduates sent to the Board of Regents and will not be included in the official reporting of degrees conferred by the University for the semester in question.
Diplomas will be mailed out after the May 24, 2013, deadline.
Official Academic Transcripts are available to graduates at no cost until: July 3, 2013 (60 days following the end of the term). Each graduate is entitled to 5 free copies upon request of their academic transcript. The 15th working day deadline for August graduates is August 30, 2013. Free transcript deadline for August graduates is October 8, 2013.
