Mission & Values

Mission Statement:

UNO, committed to an engaged society as part of its metropolitan mission, is dedicated to involving its students, campus, and community in diverse and reciprocal service, academic service learning, civic participation, and volunteer opportunities that build and strengthen our community and world.

With the Community Engagement Center (CEC), UNO will provide an expanded, coordinated, and comprehensive student engagement program. The Community Engagement Center will allow UNO to develop new opportunities as well as enhance, expand and coordinate student volunteerism, service projects, academic service learning, and leadership development specific to community engagement and civic participation.

UNO students, faculty, staff and community-based organizations involved in the CEC should embrace these four core values:
