Information for Graduates

Please allow an hour or longer to park, reach Sapp Fieldhouse, and go through Security.

Students participating in the 9 a.m. ceremony should arrive at HPER (Health, Physical Education and Recreation) 128 no later than 8:15 a.m. Students participating in the 2 p.m. ceremony should arrive at HPER 128 no later than 1:15 p.m.

All undergraduate and graduate students should report directly to HPER wearing their academic regalia.

Event Security will inspect the contents of all bags and boxes. It is recommended that you leave purses, boxes, backpacks, and/or bags at home and/or out-of-sight in a vehicle.

Graduating students will be lined up by college in HPER 128. Please look for signs or ushers to indicate your assembly area when you reach HPER 128.

Information for Faculty and Platform Party

Please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. ceremony. Please arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. for the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Platform Party members should park in Lot O.

The Platform Party will line up in HPER 143.

Faculty will line up in the HPER Atrium, near the Mav Café.

Information for Guests

Please allow an hour or longer to park, reach Sapp Fieldhouse, and go through Security. Early arrival guarantees the best parking, shortest security check wait times, and best seating options.

Event Security will inspect the contents of all bags, boxes, and strollers. It is recommended that you leave purses, boxes, backpacks, and/or bags at home and/or out-of-sight in a vehicle.

Guest seating will be located in Sapp Fieldhouse.

Guests will also have the option of viewing a live broadcast of the ceremony in the neighboring CPACS (College of Public Affairs and Community Service) building, room 101.
