Teaching interests are in early childhood education, such as courses in literature for the young child, the creative arts for young children, science and math early education, developmental assessment for the young child, and trends in early childhood education.

Research interests are: Community engagement and service learning, and inquiry-oriented teaching and learning in early educational experiences (pre k - grade 3).
