The CADRE Project is a nationally recognized program designed to assist certified teachers with the challenges associated with the teaching profession. CADRE Teachers have an opportunity to complete a master’s degree through a sequence of course work and field components. Central to the program’s efforts is the exchange of services made possible by placing fully licensed CADRE Teachers in classrooms throughout the participating districts. |

The CADRE Project is designed for newly certified elementary or secondary teachers. The project provides an opportunity for continued growth and development as participants spend their first year of teaching supported by graduate studies, mentor teachers and a cohort of first year teachers. |

The CADRE Project was selected by the U.S. Department of Education as an exemplary program in “Promising Practices: New Ways to Improve Teacher Quality” in September 1998, and received the Christa McAuliffe Award for Excellence in Teacher Education in September 2003, from the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. |
