Credit Transfer

“I came to my Enrollment Advisor with 102 credits from schools all over the place. She helped me figure out exactly which classes I needed to complete my degree.”

Benefit from a liberal credit transfer policy.

The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree was created to offer greater flexibility to continuing education students. Therefore, we offer the most liberal transfer policy available through UNO and will often accept transfer credit that other programs cannot.

The BGS allows a maximum of 65 hours of non-traditional credit towards the degree. Non-traditional credit listed in the American Council of Education (ACE) guide or approved by our Faculty Academic Policy Committee. The BGS does not support portfolio evaluation of students' direct life experiences.

Plus, transfer credits are accepted from all community colleges, colleges and universities accredited by a post secondary regional association.
