Weber Fine Arts Scholarship
Each fine arts department nominates one incoming freshman, from the nominees, the Dean chooses one to receive this scholarship. Pays tuition only, Regent scholars are not eligible

Nebraska resident, Sophomore or Junior standing, Major in studio art, Minimum 3.0 CUM GPA, 3.5 GPA in studio courses

Whitmore Memorial
Full-time enrollment required (12+ credit hrs. per semester), minimum 2.7 CUM GPA, 3.0 major GPA

21st Century Theatre Scholarship – for current theatre students
Minimum 2.5 GPA, students must be enrolled full-time (12+ hrs. semester), preference is often given to underrepresented racial minority students

For incoming creative writing students, scholarship pays tuition only, awarded based on talent, samples of writing required.

Scholarship Committee:

Gunnar Horn Communication Scholarships - (1-3 awards possible)
All majors eligible. Given the amount of the award, expected that this will go to most outstanding student(s) regardless of major. Should be excellent student with additional activities to support classroom performance.  Renewable.

The Virginia McIntire Scholarships - (1-5 awards possible)
Journalism majors (PR/Advertising and News Editorial). Awarded to students with good academic credentials and strong professional experience. (e.g. student publications, groups, activities, internship and work experience, etc.). Renewable.

Joe H. Baker Memorial Scholarship
All Communication majors eligible. Awarded to students with good academic credentials, professional experience, promise and community involvement.

Richard  Palmquist Nebraska Broadcasters Association Scholarship
Students should have some experience in broadcasting related work (e.g. student radio, internships, work experience) and show professional promise.

The Sue Francke Memorial Scholarship
Public Relations/Advertising majors. Awarded to students with good academic credentials and strong professional experience. (e.g. PRSSA activities, internship and work experience, etc.)

The Hugh Cowdin  Communication Scholarship
All majors eligible.Student must show excellent academic credentials in their general education courses as well as their major.

The Paisley Family Newspaper Scholarship
Journalism major with an interest in newspapers. Students should have some experience in student publications or newspaper related work or internships and show professional promise.

Fred & Mary Jo Peterson Communication Scholarship
All majors eligible. Must be graduate of a Nebraska high school in the OPPD service are and have junior standing. Should be an excellent student with additional activities to support classroom performance.

Paul & Fern Borge Communication Scholarship
All majors eligible. Outstanding academic achievements as well as involvement in extracurricular activities.

Bertha Clark Hughes Memorial Alumni Scholarship - (3 awards possible)

Allwine Forensics Scholarship - Chosen by the director of Forensics.

Hartman Memorial Journalism Talent Scholarship - (2 awards possible)
For incoming freshman students majoring in journalism.  Renewable for second year.  Students should have some experience in journalism (e.g. high school publications) and show professional promise.

Gunnar Horn Journalism Talent Scholarships - (4 awards possible)
Open to incoming freshman students majoring in journalism.  Renewable for up to four years.  Students should have some experience in journalism (e.g. high school publications), and show professional promise.  For renewal, must maintain minimum GPA of 2.25, and progress as a journalism major.

American Marketing Association
Established in 2004, this annual scholarship provides $1,000 to a marketing or advertising student. Students are selected on the basis of their grades and involvement in marketing or advertising activities

Buffett Foundation College Scholarships
The Susan T. Buffett Foundation provides scholarships for qualifying Nebraska residents with financial need to attend Nebraska State public institutions of higher education.
