Classical 90.7 invites you to liven up your weekday mornings with an Omaha disc jockey legend; the delightfully irreverent, Otis Twelve. Otis manages to put his own humorous spin on the classics every weekday morning from six a.m. until ten a.m. on member supported, KVNO.
Then stay tuned from ten a.m. until noon each weekday when KVNO presents Midday Classics with Dana Buckingham. Dana brings you the perfect musical accompaniment to your busy morning schedule with a great selection of classical music spanning the past 40 years.
Each weekday at noon join local host Chris Hopp for the appetizing Lunch Hour Serenade, featuring a lighter mix of the classics to help stretch your noon hour while making that tuna sandwich taste even better.
Each weekday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., join host Lora Black for Afternoon Classics live from NET Radio in Lincoln. On Thursday's, you can phone or email your requests to Lora for Friday afternoon's popular Classics by Request prgroam where you program the music you want to hear.
Don't touch that dial! Stay tuned to KVNO, as Classical Ben is your host during our afternoon drive from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Classical Ben can make that hectic commute home less stressful with classical music and great features like the Rush Hour Remedy that help you unwind from your busy day while tuning out that impatient driver behind you and that overly aggressive driver in the far left lane.
KVNO is proud to bring you the best in syndicated symphony broadcasts each weeknight beginning at 8:00 p.m. with a series of nationwide radio concert broadcasts that include the New York Philharmonic, The Chicago Orchestra, The San Fransisco Symphony, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Cleveland Orchestra, and The Royal Concertgebouw from Amsterdam.
Beginning at 10:00 p.m. each evening, join local host Clifford Jones, again live from KVNO studios, for our long running and popular Nocturnes program. A gifted symphony musician in his own right, Clifford offers his own unique selection of great classical recordings that reflect his good taste in music.
For the night owls, and the occasional insomniacs, tune in for Starlite Classics on KVNO. Starlite Classics is heard every night from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and features a mellow mix of the classics just perfect for the overnight hours. Host Michael Moriarty presents more of the music you love and; as an added bonus, less talk and unnecessary interruptions throughout the night.
And that's not all! Join local host and entertainer, Stephen Ingemansen every Friday evening from seven until midnight for Modern Classics on KVNO. Modern Classics is the program everyone is talking about and features an eclectic assortment of great classical music all composed during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Modern Classics is all locally programmed and has garnered a wide following of devoted listeners every Friday evening from all across the country.
Then make plans to stay up late every Friday night and join local host Dana Buckingham for The Midnight Special heard from midnight to 2:00 a.m. A formally trained historian, Dana often digs deep into the KVNO history vault and his own private music collection for rare classical gems that feature the great performers and recordings of the past, as well as a lively selection of contemporary and modern music...all in search of a common theme.
Weekday mornings are always special on KVNO with more great syndicated national and local symphony and chamber broadcasts that appeal to a wide variety of classical tastes and preferences.
Be sure to tune in every Saturday afternoon throughout the year beginning at noon (Central Time), for Saturday Afternoon at the Opera on KVNO. Saturday Afternoon at the Opera brings you live broadcasts of the Metropolitan Opera from New York City, as well as the syndicated radio series of several of the nation's other great opera companies, including: The Houston Grand Opera, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, The San Francisco Opera, and The LA Opera.
Classical 90.7 is also your home for award-winning news programming.
