CONTRACTING FOR HONORS CREDIT
An Honors Contract is an agreement between a student and an instructor that allows the student to pursue additional in-depth work in a given subject. The central idea for the contract is that the work required indicate depth and originality as opposed to more class work.
Ideally, contract ideas should be initiated by the students; however, the instructor may also suggest topics for the student to explore. In the past, students have prepared audio-visual presentations, produced a short play, or worked with the instructor on an ongoing research project.
Honors Contracts can be picked up from the following locations:
Honors Contract forms are due in the Honors Office by the last day to drop classes with a "W;" usually the first Friday in November for the Fall semester and the first Friday in April for the Spring semester.
