The purpose of the Graduate Certificate in Public Management is to allow working professionals with careers in the public sector or graduate students in a related field of study to expand their educational background and to enhance their knowledge in the area of public management. The graduate certificate is designed to extend students’ understanding of theory and practice in the field of public management.

The certificate program focuses on individuals who have:

1. already completed a four-year undergraduate degree;
2. at least three years of work experience in the public sector or completed part of their graduate course work in a related field of study; and
3. the need and the aspiration to expand their knowledge of public management.

The certificate is offered in Omaha, Lincoln, and online. The online program is available to those who reside more than 50 miles from Omaha and Lincoln.
