Events Spring 2013 - Mark Your Calendar

March 27 - CCSW Annual Award Luncheon Flyer - 11:30 a.m. to 1 pm
The 27th annual awards luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC) Ballroom. Thanks to the generosity of the Senior Vice Chancellor and the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, the ticket cost is only $5 for staff, faculty, students and the general public.

Luncheon tickets, on sale in the MBSC Business Office, can be purchased by phone at 402.554.2979 or by e-mail to ghotaling@mail.unomaha.edu through Friday, March 22. Departments can also reserve tables of eight for $40 by contacting the Business Office.

At the luncheon, CCSW will recognize the 2013 award recipients. The Outstanding Achievement, Community Service and Student Scholarship awards honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding commitment to gender equity. The CCSW Legendary Women of UNO Award will also be presented.

 

Two Fundraising Events in Support of the UNO Emergency Loan Fund (ELF)

As of 2010, UNO established a fund for employees that have an unexpected financial hardship. Employees can apply to receive an interest-free loan of up to $750 to be repaid one year through payroll deduction.   This fund is supported purely through private donations. This program has helped many UNO employees through a difficult time in their lives. By raising additional funds for ELF, more loans can be available for UNO employees when disaster or hardship strikes.   The need for these loans has increased every year and more money is required to meet the demand. CCSW will be sponsoring two events this spring to raise money.

Raffle ticket prices are one for $5 and three for $10. Winners will be announced at the end of luncheon with prizes being distributed at that time. You do not have to be present to win. You can purchase the raffle tickets by contacking Joyce Crockett (jcrocket@unomaha.edu), Stacie Petter (spetter@unomaha.edu) or you can buy at the CCSW Award Luncheon.. Prizes include:

  • Four (4) club level UNO hockey tickets for a single game in the 2013-2014 season and one garage parking pass for the game

Change Campaign April 1 through April 5

Use your spare change to raise money for the UNO Emergency Loan. Departments and groups can participate. Containers will be provided and winner will be determined by weight.
