There are a wide variety of fonts available through the sitewide 'type.css' style sheet. They have been created to support uniformity and compliance with the NU system 'Identity Standards' document (http://www.nebraska.edu/news/news_identity.shtml). To get a listing to appear in your 'properties' window in Dreamweaver you'll need to use the Dreamweaver 'design-time style sheets' feature. Use the list below to reference styles that you'll be using.

font choices:

class="content_title"

This class is used for the main heading at the top of your page. You can see it in action above as the 'how-to.' title of this page's content area. It is identical to the 'head_140gry' class except that it doesn't have 10 pixels of space on top of it (note how it crowds the top of this text box). This makes it flush with the tops of the left (and right if present) columns. That lack of spacing at the top makes it usuitable for use elsewhere on you pages.

<h5>, or class=head_80blk. as a link.

<h6>, or class=head_77blk. as a link.

This class is used for main headings that are just a wee bit smaller than the 'head_80' classes. It is a heading companion to the 'box_77' class if you are into small differences. The 'box_77' classes were created because text inside of a box, like this one (if classed '80'), seems larger than adjacent 'main_80' classed text outside of the box. If you think it is too small, try the 'head_80' or 'head_100' classes.

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 77%; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; letter-spacing: normal; font-weight: bold; font-variant: normal; text-transform: none; color: #333; text-decoration: none;

<p>, or class=main_80blk. as a link.

This class is used for main text. It is the largest body text class. If you want it bigger, you'll have to use one of the 'head' classes. If you're using it inside a box, you might want to consider the 'box_77' class.

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 80%; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-weight: normal; font-variant: normal; color: #333;

class=box_77. as a link.

This class is used mostly inside of content boxes. It is a cousin to the 'feat_77' class. The 'box_77' and 'feat_77' classes were created because text inside of a box, like this one (if classed '80'), seems larger than adjacent 'main_80' classed text outside of the box.

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 77%; line-height: normal; color: #52504D;

This class for links is used mostly inside of content boxes. It is a cousin to the 'feat_77_links' class. The 'box_77_links' and 'feat_77_links' classes were created so that links following text inside of boxes, could be of a smaller, subordinate size.

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size:63%; font-weight: bold; color:#740000; text-transform:none;

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 70%; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-weight: normal; font-variant: normal; text-transform: none; color: #2F2E2C;

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 70%; line-height: normal; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; color: #525252;

class=fineprint. as a link.

This class was created for use when some really small text is needed. Not recommended for most situations.

Attributes: font-family: arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 60%; line-height: normal; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; color: #525252;

default (no class) as a link.

This is what text that is not classed will look like. It will work, but is not recommended. Misses all the nuanced consideration of the defined classes.

Attributes: font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica, tahoma, sans-serif;
