Why use it?

Want to have an easy way to post a gallery of images on your page? The Flickr API makes it easy.

How to use it

First, you'll need to create an account on Flickr if you don't already have one. Now, look at the URL for your main photos page on Flickr. You should see something like the bolded '55157@N05' in the code below. If you don't see anything like that, click the RSS button on that page and look at the resulting URL – it should show up there. Copy it and insert it into the two locations bolded in the example code. Save the code as an include, or put it ditectly onto your page. That should do it. Now anything you upload to your Flickr account will show in your Mavr instance. Be sure you understand Flickr's copyright settings – your photos will bethere for the world to see. Horizontal images work best in our player - verticals will get chopped, but will still work.

put this code in your page <body> - or save as an include:

<div class="mavr-275">
  <h3>mavr</h3>
  <span class="btns-r"><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/7615741@N05/" class="btn-all-list"><span class="hide">Mavr Archive</span></a></span>
  <p id="mavr-player" style="margin-top:0;padding:0;"><a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">Get the Flash Player</a> to see this player.</p>
  <script type="text/javascript">
  var mavr = new SWFObject('http://www.unomaha.edu/flash/imagerotator.swf','rotator','275','180','7');
  mavr.addVariable('file','http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?id=7615741@N05&amp;lang=en-us&amp;format=rss_200');
  mavr.addVariable('transition','fade');
  mavr.addVariable('shownavigation','true');
  mavr.addVariable('overstretch','none');
  mavr.addVariable('height','180');
  mavr.addVariable('width','275');
  mavr.addVariable('autostart','false');
  mavr.addVariable('showicons','true');
  mavr.write('mavr-player');
  </script>
  <div class="box_txt">
    <p class="box_77"><strong>The Real Mavericks</strong></p>
    <p class="box_77">Enjoy these beautiful mages from Tim Fitzgerald.</p>
  </div>
</div>
use this code to call as an include:

<?php include('/web/yoursite/inc/mavr.htm'); ?>
