This course combines skills students have acquired in other broadcasting courses, such as radio and television news writing and reporting, and news video and editing. Those courses are PREREQUISITES for this class. We will not review material you should already know! This course emphasizes field work and will prepare students for life in a newsroom. Each student will be responsible for producing seven projects averaging 60-90 seconds in length. The stories will be edited using Final Cut Pro. Students will be evaluated primarily on accomplishments in gathering and reporting the news. Please contact your advisor if you have questions about your eligibility for this class.
