about the conference.

The purpose of this fourth biennial conference on aging–Aging with Passion and Purpose: Aging Well in the Age of Technology–is to bring together professionals, administrators, service-providers, researchers, educators and students, caregivers, older adults, baby boomers, and others to gain awareness of how technology, in all of its forms, can impact the lives of individuals as they age by maximizing independence and quality of life. The conference experience will provide attendees opportunities to share and learn knowledge and deepen their understanding of possibilities and also to connect with persons who have similar interests and goals in the field of aging.

Attend the conference to learn about:

  • Living Better with Technology
  • Empowering Older Adults to use Technology
  • Transforming Healthcare through Technology
  • Accessing Resources with Technology
  • Creating Community via Technology
  • Supporting Creativity and Spirituality with Technology

In addition to the featured speakers there will be break-out sessions, poster presentations, and sponsor and vendor displays.

The 2013 conference will be held October 20-21 in the Milo Bail Student Center on the beautiful Dodge campus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Continuing Education Units will be provided by Iowa Western Community College Iowa Board of Nursing Provider #6, and are available for Nurses, Social Workers, Medical Assistants, Department Heads, Nursing Home Administrators, Residential Care Administrators, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Activity Coordinators and Direct Care Staff.
