Mutual of Omaha Aviation Scholarship.

The Mutual of Omaha Aviation Scholarship was established to provide financial support to a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute pursuing a career as a professional pilot.  Applicants must meet the qualifications listed below.  The deadline for applications to be submitted is Friday, February 15, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. to CPACS 120.  The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Aviation Institute Honors Convocation.  For more information about this scholarship and other aviation scholarships, visit our web-site at http://www.unomaha.edu/ai/scholarships.php.

Undergraduate students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible for this scholarship:

• At least Sophomore Standing (have completed 26 hours)
• Must be currently enrolled in the Aviation Institute at UNO with a major or minor in aviation.
• Private Pilot Certificate with progress on Instrument Rating preferred
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• 500 word summary detailing how this scholarship will help you achieve your career goals. (must be submitted with application)
• Interview may be requested by Mutual of Omaha.
• Candidates must be enrolled in the Spring 2013 semester at UNO, AND the Summer or Fall 2013 semesters.
• This scholarship will be awarded for one academic year, but past recipients may reapply for the scholarship.
