Densel K. and Melba J. Acheson Student Enrichment Fund Scholarship.

The Densel K. & Melba J. Acheson Student Enrichment Fund Scholarship was established to recognize Densel and his wife Melba for their contributions to University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Aviation Program.  The Fund shall be used to benefit and support the Aviation Institute, College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS), University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), including but not limited to; organizational support, travel, educational training and simulation, student facilities, research, and scholarships.  Applicants must meet the qualifications listed below.  The deadline for applications to be submitted is Friday, February 15, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. to CPACS 120.  The scholarship recipient will be announced at the Aviation Institute Honors Convocation.  For more information about this scholarship and other aviation scholarships, visit our web-site at http://www.unomaha.edu/ai/scholarships.php.

Students meeting the following criteria shall be eligible to apply for this scholarship:

• Student must be an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Aviation at the Aviation Institute.
• Students who demonstrate financial need will receive additional consideration.
• Cumulative college GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Student must be enrolled in the Spring 2013 semester and the Summer or Fall 2013 semester.
