The Aviation Institute provides unique opportunities for students to participate in through the competitive internship program. This program has been specific established for students enrolled in the University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute. The program provides real world hands-on experience and reinforces the concepts taught in the program.
Currently there are nine companies that participate in our internship program. The function of the internship provider is to present an experience that provides substance to and upperclassman or graduate student. Providers will work with interns to develop projects or other hands-on related topics. Internship are unpaid and the intern is responsible for any expenses associated with participation.

Students are expected to commit a minimum of 8 hours per week for 16 weeks in order to receive full credit for the internship. The internship experience is an academic course and must be taken for an academic grade. Students will receive 3 hours of credit for the course and maybe eligible to do up to 6 hours of internship credit.

Please note that you are applying to the Internship Program, efforts will be made to match you with your top choice but it is not a guarantee. Not all internships are offered every semester.
