New Cadet Information

Welcome to Detachment 470 and thank you for your interest in the ROTC program!

A lot of the information you will need as a new cadet will be given at orientation, but here are a few things for you ahead of time. Keep checking this page this summer as we get more updates this summer. If there are questions, call 554-2437 and ask to speak with the Unit Admissions Officer.

Dates to remember:


	Friday, May 8th: Awards Convocation/Change of Command Parade Come see all of our hard work over the semester!


	Sunday, May 10th: Spring Commissioning Our Class of '08 will commission!


	Thursday, August 21st from 1600-2000: Orientation Welcome / BBQ All cadets are encouraged to attend


	Friday, August 22nd at 0730: Orientation Briefings and In-Processing


	Monday, August 25: First day of classes for AS100 Cadets


	Wednesday, August 27: First Lead Lab

Things to get done this summer:

Physicals:

A sports physical is required on record for the ROTC program. Without one, you won't be allowed to participate in PT. A previous MEPS or DODMERB physical will also count. There are also a couple forms that must be filled out and signed by your doctor. You can either pick them up at the detachment or download them directly from here.

An orientation package will be sent to all cadets shortly with details on how to get to orientation, as well as your in-processing forms and checklist. For your convenience, we are making all of the forms available here as well.
