Lt Col Christopher A. Chocolaad, Commander

Lt Col Chocolaad commands Air Force Reserve Officer Training Cadre and Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Program students of Air Force Reserve Training Corp Detachment 470, University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Aerospace Studies at University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he instructs and mentors the 50-plus members of the cadet wing.

He received his commission from US Air Force Academy, class of 1994. He is both a career scientist and political-military affairs strategist in the Air Force, and Joint Officer Qualified. He has served a variety of operational analysis and non-rated operations positions in the Air Force with assignments at all levels of command: Squadron, Wing, MAJCOM, Air Staff, Combatent Command, Air Staff, and Office of the Secretary of Defense. He has been stationed at: Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea; Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi; Randolph Air Force Base,Texas; Hickam, Air Force Base, Hawaii; Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama; and the Pentagon, Virginia. He has two short tours and multiple TDY's to North East and Central Asia. His last assignment was at the Joint IED Defeat Organization, leading the Trends Analysis Branch. Afghanistan in Kabul.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from U.S. Air Force Academy, a graduate certificate in International Security from Stanford, a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Master of Military Arts from Air University.
