Captain Jacque Torson, Commandant of Cadets

Captain Jacquelynn R. Torson is the Commandant of Cadets, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 470, University of Nebraska-Omaha. She is responsible for the training and education of new officer candidates for the U.S. Air Force. Additionally, she mentors more than 60 cadets enroute to a commission in the United States Air Force. As an ROTC Instructor, Captain Torson instructs the Aerospace Studies 300 class providing a broad foundation of Air Force knowledge, leadership and management principles. She is also the unit Test Control Officer and Safety Representative.

Captain Torson is a 2006 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. Her first assignment was as a Weapons and Tactics Analyst at the 86th Fighter Weapons Squadron. There she helped test and evaluate all of the conventional air-to-ground weapons in the Air Force inventory. She then served as an Air Vehicle Survivability Analyst at the United States Strategic Command providing detailed analysis on the nationís nuclear operations plan. She ended her tour at USSTRATCOM as the Executive Officer for the Plans and Integration Directorate of the Joint Functional Component Command for Global Strike.
