Provided to Project Achieve Students

• Academic Advising and Counseling - Staff will help students with:
  • Improving study skills and time management techniques
  • Assessing academic habits and experience, strengths, and potential needs
  • Developing academic prescription necessary for retention and graduation
  • Identifying academic and career interests/goals
  • Obtaining Financial Aid/Scholarship information and counseling
  • Reviewing course registration information
  • Making long-range educational plans
  • Acquiring academic major/minor information
  • Enlisting university and community resources to enhance matriculation at UNO
• Tutorial Assistance
  • Emphasis is placed on one-to-one and small group tutoring with regularly scheduled appointments
  • Tutorial sessions are scheduled at the convenience of the student and tutor.
  • A typical arrangement consists of 3 one-hour sessions per week
  • Sessions supplement current studies and help improve grades
• Computer Lab/Laptop Loan
  • Access to the Project Achieve Computer Lab located in EAB 117
  • Laptop check out (for up to 2 wks at a time) is available for students needing portable technology
• Workshops - based on student input, interest, and needs

• Financial Aid Information & Counseling - Each student's file is reviewed to determine if the student has received the maximum amount of aid for which he or she may qualify, and staff may assist in the completion of financial aid forms.
