Background
Dr. Morrice joined UNO in 2011 and serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Assistant Professor of Education. Prior to his current role at UNO, Dr. Morrice served as Director of Outreach and Recruitment at the University of San Diego, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at California State University, East Bay, and Financial Aid Counselor and Doctoral Program Coordinator at Stanford University.
Dr. Morrice's research interests are focused on educational access, persistence, and outcomes of low-income and first-generation students. He studies issues of college choice, transfer, and access; diversity, student persistence; and community colleges.
Dr. Morrice earned his B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Higher Education from San Jose State University and Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Michigan.
Responsibilities
As Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, Dr. Morrice is responsible for leading UNO's strategic enrollment management planning. He is responsible for providing leadership to Undergraduate Admissions, Dual-Enrollment, Financial Aid, Records and Registration, Testing Office, and Business Systems Intelligence. Dr. Morrice chairs the Enrollment Management Executive Committee, and serves on the Strategic Planning Task Force, Distance Education Council, and African American, Native American and Latino/a Advisory Boards.
