PRINTMAKING

The facilities provide a complete atelier for print production in the areas of intaglio, stone and plate lithography and relief printing with access to photographic and digital equipment. The traditional mediums of intaglio, relief printing, and lithography are the basic tools of the printmaker and the curriculum includes a thorough grounding in each medium and its applications. Contemporary printmaking practice includes the emerging digital and photographic technologies as mediums themselves and in combination with the traditional mediums. The printmaking curriculum includes prepress and digital applications as fine arts mediums.

The Visiting Printmakers Program, presented by the UNO Print Workshop, provides students access to leading artists and printmakers in a working studio setting. Each artist visits UNO and collaborates with the workshop to produce a limited edition print.
