Paul L. Beck Memorial Scholarship
Faculty/Staff Scholarships
Awards:
*One scholarship ($650): full-time UNO undergraduate student.
*One scholarship ($350): part-time UNO undergraduate student.
*One scholarship ($650): full-time UNO graduate student.
*One scholarship ($350): part-time UNO graduate student.
Selection Criteria:
- Selection is based on scholarship, service to the community and/or university, and degree of need.
- Student's cumulative grade point average must be 3.0 or higher.
- Full-time Graduate students must take 9 hours at UNO during the term of the award.
- Part-time Graduate students must less than 9 hours at UNO during the term of the award.
- Undergraduate students must be UNO SENIORS during the term of the award.
- Full-Time Undergraduate students must take at least 12 hours at UNO during the term of the award.
- Part-time Undergraduate students must take at least 6 hours at UNO during the term of the award.
(Only one application/category per student permitted.)
Application Requirements/Process:
Submit the following information to the Faculty Senate office, ASH 105, no later than April 4, 2008.
- A scholarship application form (download form can be found at: http://www.unomaha.edu/~facsen/Paul_Beck_Schlrshp/beck_application.htm
OR hard copy available at the Faculty Senate office, ASH 105, or the UNO Financial Aid Office, EAB 103).
- A one page letter describing how this scholarship will help further your educational needs.
- A letter of support from a UNO faculty member must be sent directly to the Faculty Senate (ASH 105) office by the faculty_member.
- No application will be considered unless all documents listed above (1-3) are on file in the Faculty Senate office by April 4, 2008.
- Scholarship decisions will be made by the University of Nebraska Faculty Senate Committee on Educational Resources and Services by the end of April 2008.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified in writing by the Faculty Senate President in May, 2008.
